Ron Holmes will step down as the Men's Basketball Coach at McMurry at the end of the season - his 20th at the school. Assistant Coach Matt Garnett has already been chosen as the successor.

Holmes is 346-182 in his 19+ seasons. He will remain at McMurry and focus on his duties as the Athletic Director for the college. Garnett is a 2004 graduate of Wayland Baptist. This will be his first head coaching job.
