Arizona Christian University has selected Jeff Rutter as its men’s basketball coach. Rutter served as an assistant on the Azusa Pacific University (Calif.) coaching staff for 10 seasons and as lead assistant coach at California Baptist University for two seasons.

Rutter replaces Rick Roth, who coached at ACU for eight seasons. Roth continues as associate athletics director and as a member of the ACU faculty as he completes his doctoral dissertation. The Firestorm men’s basketball program posted an 11-16 record last season and begins competing as the newest member of a strong Golden State Athletics Conference in 2012-13.
