| Description: | Responsible for conducting a successful NAIA basketball program within the rules, regulations and guidelines established by the NAIA, the University and the American Midwest Conference. Other duties will include: Independently recruiting and retaining student-athletes that meet academic and athletic standards as established by the University, NAIA, and AMC; coordinating a full schedule of contests as allowed by the NAIA bylaws and permitted within University travel budget perimeters; adhering to University policy and budget on scholarship offers, coordinating scholarship offers with the Athletic department, the Admissions Department, and the Director of Financial Aid; holding responsible for the safety and well-being of student athletes while traveling for University related events; communicating on a regular basis with Director of Athletics; adhering to Athletic Department reporting procedures for recruitment and retention, meal cash-advancement, expense reports, purchase order and travel arrangements; and maintaining a high level of professionalism and conducting himself or herself in a manner that is complaint with the mission of Benedictine University at Springfield. |
