| Description: | The Assistant Men's Basketball Coach will be responsible for assisting the Head Coach in all aspects of administering the men's basketball program, including coaching, training, recruiting, public affairs and academic monitoring. Specific responsibilities include management of academic initiatives, coordination of team travel, scouting of opponents, and recruiting. The successful candidate must demonstrate a significant knowledge of men's basketball, proven success in recruiting and coaching men's basketball, and a strong commitment to the academic success of student-athletes. Position requires successful candidate to teach a minimum of six (6) hours per semester in the Department of Human Performance & Sport Sciences. Ability to maintain accurate files on paper and in software programs. Ability to effectively guide students through related course of study. Provide the hands-on active learning resources and motivation that promote student learning and success. Ability to comply with all academic procedural policies/duties (recording keeping, grade submission, etc.). Candidate shall fulfill additional duties as assigned by the Athletic Director. |
