Wabash College is seeking an energetic, dynamic full-time head men’s basketball coach. The head coach will report directly to the Director of Athletics and Campus Wellness and will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the basketball program. Responsibilities include: 1. Organize and operate a first-class collegiate basketball program. The experience of playing basketball should be an in integral, value-added element of the student-athletes education at Wabash College. 2. Recruit effectively within the guidelines set by the College, the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC), and the NCAA. 3. Monitor the academic progress of the student-athletes and mentor them throughout their careers. 4. Plan, organize, and implement off-season conditioning programs in accordance with NCAA and NCAC regulations. 5. Lead assistant coaches and team members to achieve in a highly competitive collegiate conference. 6. Plan and execute in-season practices utilizing current coaching strategies. 7. Efficiently manage the operational budget set forth by the College. 8. In consultation with the athletic director, build a competitive schedule of non-conference games. 9. Perform a significant supplementary duty and other minor ones as assigned by the Director of Athletics and Campus Wellness and/or the Dean of Students, to whom the Director of Athletics reports. 10. Adhere to NCAA and NCAC rules and regulations regarding the basketball program. The successful candidate will possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s preferred, with at least three years of collegiate coaching experience.
