| Description: | Bryn Athyn College is accepting applications for the full-time position of Men’s Head Basketball Coach and Coordinator of Camps and Clinics. The successful candidate will supervise, coordinate and manage all aspects of the men’s intercollegiate basketball team, which will begin play in 2013-14. The incumbent will also be responsible for promoting academic and athletic development in its members. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree, previous coaching experience in a NCAA school, demonstrating a successful record as a coach, and demonstrated success in recruiting student-athletes. Duties and responsibilities: • Ability to lead, motivate and communicate with student athletes • Commitment and dedication to academic success • Strong organizational and developmental skills • Ability to work with a diverse population • Ability to conduct on practices and manage game strategy • Organize recruiting materials and identify potential prospects • Develop recruiting strategy and maintain contact with recruits • Develop a conditioning program along with practices • Collaborate with the Director of Athletics to organize and administer team equipment purchases and distribution/collection • Meet with players during the season and conduct post season interviews • Maintain accurate record keeping and transparency within the program • Coordinate scheduling of practices, games, events and activities • Coordinate life skill programming for student-athletes • Out-of-season game day management of events The head coach is expected to support the mission of Bryn Athyn College to enhance students’ civil, moral, and spiritual life through an educational experience based on New Church teachings. In particular, the head coach is expected to support and enhance the focus Bryn Athyn College Athletics to build a program that fosters commitment, sportsmanship, and charity. |
