Description:

Develops and implements strength and conditioning programs for student athletes and intercollegiate athletic teams for the men’s basketball team and other sports as assigned. These duties include strength training, conditioning, speed development, agility, flexibility, nutrition counseling, summer manuals, testing protocols, etc. Teaches safe lifting and conditioning techniques to all athletes.

REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in exercise science or related field and two years of experience in strength training and conditioning required.
CSCS, SCCC, or USAW1 certification or the ability to become certified within the first year of employment; and effective communication skills and ability to motivate student-athletes in both a group and individual setting.
Preferred: Master’s degree; knowledge of applicable NCAA rules.
NOTE: Position requires incumbent to comply fully with all NCAA, Big Ten (or other conference) and Indiana University rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
