The Men’s Basketball Head Coach is a twelve month position and will be responsible for successful execution in planning, developing and administering all phases of the Men’s Basketball coaching and recruiting program. The University of Arkansas at Little Rock, part of the University of Arkansas System, is a metropolitan university dedicated to providing excellence in education to a diverse student body and to serving the needs of a vibrant and growing region of the state. The Head Coach will lead a program that competes at the NCAA Division I level in the Sun Belt Conference. The UALR Athletic Department includes 14 sports for men and women.
Under the general supervision of the Director of Athletics, the Men’s Basketball Head Coach will manage a Division I Basketball program as Head Coach, in accordance with NCAA, Sun Belt Conference and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock regulations. Areas of responsibility include coaching, recruiting, conditioning, scouting, budget, summer camps/clinics, administration of sport, supervision of assistant coaches, public relations, fundraising and other duties as assigned. The Head Coach will have general knowledge of the academic eligibility requirements for students and compliance with NCAA rules and regulations; excellent communication and organizational skills and desire to work in an environment that promotes teamwork and collaboration.
