Recently hired Villanova assistant Doug Martin has resigned due to inaccuracies in his resume. In a statement released by the university, Head Coach Jay Wright said, "I have always known Doug to be a good person and coach. He has taken responsibility for his mistake and will move on successfully! We all wish Doug well."

The issues surrounding Martin's resume have do to with the fact that he said he played at UW-Green Bay from 1991-1995. ESPN's Dana O'Neil has published an article that proves that Martin in fact played at Viterbo University during that time, and not UW-Green Bay.
