Here's what I've heard so far this morning.....

Richard Pitino has sparked some interest from Wagner. The younger Pitino is currently an assistant at Florida and has served as an assistant on his father's staff at Louisville. Apparently the AD at Wagner is very intrigued by the possibility of getting involved with Pitino.

I've heard that the contract of Cal Irvine Head Coach Pat Douglass will not be renewed. Douglass is in his 13th season at the helm - the Anteaters are 14-17 this season. Rumors are already beginning to swirl about possible replacements, and most of them have Stanford ties. AD Mike Izzi spent 16 seasons as an administrator, before being hired at UCI in December of 2007.

UL - Lafayette has hired Carr Sports Associates to head it's search. No timetable has been set for the search, but I have heard that the salary will be significantly than it has been in the past. Robert Lee's salary last season was $175,000.

Air Force AD Hans Mueh has said that Head Coach Jeff Reynolds will return next season. Air Force has lost 32 of its last 34 games against MWC teams and recently finished in the league basement for the second season in a row. Reynolds has four years left on his contract and a buy-out would cost around $1.5 million.
