According to Doug Haller of the Arizona Republic, the Arizona Board of Regents has approved a contract extension for ASU head coach Herb Sendek. Here are some parts of the new deal according to Haller:

Sendek's contract now runs through June 30, 2016.

Sendek's salary remains at $1.2 million per season. He has a base salary of $295,000 with additional salary consisting of $905,000.

Sendek's salary may be increased each July 1 by an amount determined by Lisa Love, ASU's Vice President of Athletics, subject to the approval of ASU President Michael Crow and the board.

Sendek will receive a retention bonus of $600,000 if he is employed as head coach as of June 30, 2014.
