Northern Arizona University head coach Mike Adras has resigned effective immediately. Adras served as assistant basketball coach for seven years before becoming head coach in 1999. He compiled a record of 193-170 as head coach. Athletics director Jim Fallis announced that Dave Brown, a long-time NAU employee, will serve as interim head coach while a search for a permanent replacement is conducted. Brown is a member of the NAU Athletics Hall of Fame and former head coach of the NAU's women's basketball team and Yavapai College men's team. Brown's first meeting with players and assistant coaches is today. He will lead the Lumberjacks against CSU Bakersfield on Saturday in Rolle Activity Center. The search for a permanent replacement for Adras will begin immediately.
